They call it the "Broad Walk" and it is quite wide. And on either side are the twin Mixed--mostly Perennial--Borders--each 420 feet long and 18 feet wide. I am not sure if they are the best--or most comprehensive such borders in the world or not--that is not my area of expertise. But I would be shocked if they are not the world's largest. They are backed by Hornbeam hedges and must have thousands of plants. The panorama shows almost all of it--and we also show various sections at various angles. Continue.

The Broad Walk Up To Battleston Hill

Agapanthus and Cosmos
Approaching my favorite shot of the day--shown in detail in the next photo.
I told you there would be even more Agapanthus coverage. These dark blue Agapanthus 'Loch Hope' with light pink Cosmos just could be my favorite shot of the day. A truly striking combination with the Cosmos just about reaching the height of the shorter Agapanthus.

Backing up a bit, we can see how the Agapanthus and Cosmos duet fits in its location near the beginning of the mixed border on the right.
